Democratic Caucus scheduled for Tuesday

Dear Editor:

The Pitkin County Democratic Caucus will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the Aspen High School cafeteria. All precincts, except Precinct 7, will meet at Aspen High School.

Precinct 7 will meet at the Woody Creek Community Center. (Precinct 7 includes Woody Creek, the Aspen Business Center, North 40, Burlingame, Aspen Village, Brush Creek, McClain Flats and Starwood.)

At 6 p.m. there will be registration, a pasta dinner and potluck desserts; please bring a dessert to share. At 7 p.m. we will begin with announcements and a few words from our state Sen. Gail Schwartz, and then the voting will begin to re-nominate President Obama. Anyone wishing to present a resolution must bring a typed version to be reviewed and voted on.

All Democrats registered since Jan. 6 and registered in Pitkin County since Feb. 6 are eligible to vote. All Obama supporters are welcome to attend and join us for pasta dinner. For more information and to R.S.V.P., email or visit our website at http://www.pitkincounty

Join us at the caucus.
