Demand better service

I moved here from Littleton in fall of 2000. Upon obtaining phone service out here we were incredibly shocked.

We are paying the same amount for phone services as we did in Littleton, but we are not getting everything we had and there was no discount for the lack of availability.

Did you know that for the same price you are paying for call waiting and caller ID you could also have voice messaging and caller ID on call waiting phone calls?

Qwest offers a package with call waiting, caller ID, voice messaging and call waiting-caller ID for essentially the same price as what you’re probably already paying.

Qwest doesn’t provide this and other offered features in the Roaring Fork Valley except for Aspen because they find us too rural. So they skipped everybody else and gave it to Aspen.

Just imagine!

You could throw away your answering machine that has to be reset every time the power goes out. You could know if it was your long-winded friend or a telemarketer without interrupting your current conversation. They also have cheaper Internet service and cell phones.

All we need to do is ask! If everyone could write a letter to: Qwest Executive Office, 1801 California Street, Ste. 5200, Denver, CO 80202 … they will have to listen.

Please help me get the word out. We need to tell them we are not too rural.
