Dedication set for CMC’s School for New Media
ASPEN – The Isaacson School for New Media at Colorado Mountain College opens Wednesday with several free public events.
The celebration begins at 9:30 a.m. with a keynote address by Walter Isaacson, president and CEO of the Aspen Institute. It will be followed by a lunch reception featuring the Showcase of Youth Digital Media Contest.
At 12:45 p.m., the Isaacson School Future Forum will bring together a panel of faculty, community partners and youth for a discussion of the promise and future vision of the I-School.
The vision for the Isaacson School for New Media at Colorado Mountain College is not only to train students for the new economy, but to foster collaboration and synergy that will create new opportunities in the digital media. The Isaacson School is one of the first community college programs in the country to provide leading edge digital media preparation. The School provides in-line training for media professionals and business people as well as degrees and certificates for emerging talent.
