Deadline for Aspen voter registration is Monday

ASPEN – Aspen residents who are 18 and older but are not official voters have until Monday afternoon to register in order to participate in the May 3 election.

Non-voters may register with the Aspen City Clerk’s office, 130 S. Galena St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.; or the Pitkin County Clerk’s office, 530 E. Main St., between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Various forms of identification are acceptable, including a valid Colorado driver’s license or government-issued ID, utility bills, bank statements or a Medicare card.

Those with a valid state driver’s license also may register online through the website

The city election will feature the race for mayor, two City Council seats and a ballot question involving a land swap between the city and a private landowner for a park in the Anderson Subdivision.

Anyone with questions about voter registration or the ballot may call the city office at 920-5060 or the county office at 920-5180.
