Date set for third Base Village meeting

The third public meeting in a series of work-sessions on the future plans for Base Village has been scheduled for June 18.

The work sessions include the Snowmass Village Town Council and Planning Commission; Snowmass Acquisition Co., a subsidiary of Related Cos. that owns the project; and the public. As pre-sketch plan meetings under the town’s land-use code, Related representatives can provide their new concepts for the stalled development.

The first meeting was a presentation from Related executives touching on the company’s new concepts for Base Village. The second session was a round-table forum in which residents and businesspeople of Snowmass provided their feedback on four topics — community purposes and the approved aquatic center, phasing and vesting, residential and commercial mix, and transportation.

The meeting will start at 4 p.m. June 18 in Town Hall. Individuals who cannot attend in person can comment online at The meetings also will be streamed live at
