Curry for District 61
Dear Editor:
I write in support of Kathleen Curry’s Independent candidacy for state representative in House District 61.
Kathleen is a veteran legislator with a proven record of accomplishment. During her previous six years in the Colorado legislature, she established a reputation as a nonpartisan problem-solver. Unafraid of the political consequences of straying from party-line politics, Kathleen always voted for the interests, concerns and citizens of her district.
Her knowledge on agriculture, natural resources, small business and environmental issues are important to all in House District 61. Kathleen is recognized by political friends and foes as a legislative expert on Colorado water issues. The current drought surely will bring new water legislation from Front Range water users. Attempts will be made to export more water from rural Colorado for use in the large urban areas.
Rest assured that Kathleen has the skills and experience to protect and preserve rural Colorado’s water. That attribute alone is reason to vote for Curry. In addition, her knowledge, legislative experience and dedication to her district and constituents qualify her as the best candidate to represent the citizens as well as the public and private interests in House District 61. In the up coming election, please vote for Independent candidate Kathleen Curry.

EcoFlight takes CRMS students into the clouds to learn about the Crystal River
As Colorado Rocky Mountain School students, Makaya Mackie and her classmates get to see the Crystal River each day from the school’s Carbondale campus. But that view comes from ground level and doesn’t necessarily mean the students understand or appreciate what is in their backyard.
