Cures for violence
November 6, 2002
Following are some cures for violence:
1. Do persons disposed to violence know in advance that they are going to act? If they do, before they are “out of control” there must be places of refuge where they can obtain professional help without condemnation, retaliation or a police record.
2. Would the persons in the terror cells in our country wish to defect and join us in peace? This could be accomplished by establishing cities of refuge on our abandoned military bases, where they would live as the Amish with their immediate families and are assimilated into our culture in an orderly fashion when they have met certain criteria (speaking English and becoming a legal citizen, for instance).
3. Separate cities of refuge is also a good idea for illegal immigrants and their immediate families; also, a city for our own nonviolent prisoners and their immediate families with the same specifications for each. Our citizen prisoners and their immediate families must have U.S. citizenship knowledge also. (Immediate means “next in line” as a relative.)
Some persons who are not citizens may choose to grow surplus food and make useful articles to send to their home countries; they may also choose to go home as goodwill ambassadors once they understand what America is all about!
