Cuba Report: Havana, Day Two

Havana, Cuba

A group of 12 Aspen High School students and social studies teacher Gretchen Calhoun arrived in Havana, Cuba, on Friday for a week-long educational tour. Their trip coincides with a historic week in the rapidly changing island nation. The students will be sending The Aspen Times photos, video and updates from their travels when possible. Here is the first installment:
“Cuba is amazing. I have learned so much already. It’s so hot here. We didn’t get to end up going to the Rolling Stones, but I listened from my bedroom window … they blew my mind. We have toured so much so far and still have so much more to see. The people are so nice.” – Hannah Small, sophomore
