Cub Scouts enjoy construction tour

Dear Editor:The Aspen/Snowmass Cub Scouts, Pack 200, thank the Hyatt Grand Aspen in conjunction with Four Peaks Development and the Aspen Elks Lodge No. 224 and especially Eric Carmen for all they have done on behalf of our Cub Scouts. On Monday, Jan. 17, they invited the entire pack of Cub Scouts to tour the Hyatt Grand Aspen construction site. The Scouts got to see all stages of construction, from brick masonry, steel, flooring, electrical, plumbing and more. The tour was wonderful! Afterward they treated the Scouts and their parents to ice-skating at the Silver Circle ice rink. The Scouts were so excited and they learned about avocations and professions – it opened their minds to new possibilities – and what fun they had!The parents and kids of Cub Scout Pack 200 gratefully acknowledge and thank you all for investing your time, resources and efforts in our community and the young men of tomorrow. The Cub Scouts also want to thank David Murray for his assistance and guidance in showing our cub leaders the ropes and for coming to our awards ceremony and helping us make it really special for the boys.Lisa Bush, Pack LeaderKimberly Grandy, Bear Den LeaderAlan Bush, Wolf Den Leader
