CU honor society honors Pitkin County manager

ASPEN The Pi Alpha Alpha honor society at the University of Colorados School of Public Affairs recently honored Pitkin County Manager Hilary Fletcher.The group gave Fletcher, who has worked in Pitkin County government since 1988, the Reithmayer Award for Public Administration, named after the late founder of the school of public affairs in 1947.A team of faculty and staff at the school said Fletcher is someone who best represents the qualities of integrity, high-caliber performance and dedication to public service, according to a statement from the school.While employed by Pitkin County, Fletcher earned a masters degree in public administration from CU, and currently is an adjunct professor of public administration there.Fletcher also volunteers at the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District and is board president of Tomorrows Voices, a valley nonprofit dedicated to helping young people get involved in civic affairs.
