Man charged with enticement of a child in Glenwood Springs

Glenwood Police arrested Gilardo Cruz-Gallardo, 40, of Glenwood, after a citizen reported seeing a man approach an underage girl at a gas station on Jan. 31 and offer her a ride in his van.
According to Cruz-Gallardo’s arrest affidavit, the girl told police that the man offered her money and propositioned her before returning her to the gas station.
The next day, a witness called to identify Cruz-Gallardo, who told authorities that the girl had asked him for a ride, but had not wanted to go home. He said he took her to the warehouse where he worked and dropped her back at the gas station around an hour later with money for a taxi. He denied suggesting any sort of sexual contact with the girl.
Cruz-Gallardo was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and enticement of a child, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor sex assault on a child and driving with a suspended license.
