Glenwood PD investigates missing homeless man as possible homicide

Glenwood Springs police are seeking information about a missing homeless man who’s rumored to have been killed.

Crime Stoppers of Garfield County said Wednesday that Emmanuel Johnson went missing in August, and rumor has it he was slain and then buried near a homeless camp uphill from Linwood Cemetery, known as the location of Doc Holliday’s Grave.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information about this case if that information leads to an arrest.

In 2013 Glenwood Springs police arrested an Emmanuel Aeolphus Johnson, then 37, from Basalt, on trespassing charges.
