Cozy Point in the right hands

Dear Editor:

For more than 20 years we have been clients of Monroe Summers, current general manager of Cozy Point LLC. Monroe transported our horses to and from Arizona and cared for them in this valley for years. As well, Monroe has managed several properties we have owned in Pitkin County.

We no longer own horses, but these days we enjoy taking our young grandchildren to Cozy Point for exposure to the ranch experience: pastures, barns, cows and calves, as well as the horses. We can personally testify to Monroe Summers’ well-deserved reputation as a man of integrity, intelligence, hard work and compassion for the welfare of people, animals and the land.

We believe that his vision for Cozy Point is consistent with Aspen’s character, celebrating the historic best of the West, with opportunity for all to have access to a quality horsemanship experience. We sincerely hope that the Aspen City Council will renew Monroe Summers’ contract and their trust in his manifest stewardship of Cozy Point.
