Correcting real-estate info

Thanks for the article on the city’s real estate agent, but a few corrections and clarifications are needed.

While Mr. Hunter’s base commission rate was 2.5 percent, he has discounted his rate several times. In the largest transaction (for the BMC West site), Mr. Hunter’s commission was 1 percent.

As in most real estate transactions, the sellers paid the Realtor commissions ” not the city of Aspen.

Rebecca Hodgson, the city’s purchasing agent, not Rebecca Doane, served on the selection team.

The city has already selected Greg Hunter from among the 17 proposals. A contract will be considered by City Council at its June 23 meeting.
