ASPEN ” Pitkin County dispatch aired a hit- and- run car accident in the 700 block of West Main Street at 6 p. m. on Jan. 8. Someone reported the vehicle on the run to be a green 1994 Toyota 4Runner.

Soon after, Officer Rick Magnuson pulled over a green Toyota 4Runner driven by Shannon Darcy, 45, and allegedly noticed damage to the rear of the vehicle.

Magnuson reportedly noticed an odor of alcohol when talking to Darcy and asked her to perform a roadside sobriety test, which she voluntarily agreed to do and then allegedly could not pass.

When Magnuson checked with dispatch, he found that Darcy’s license was revoked for a drug or alcohol offense. He issued her a summons for driving with a license under restraint, failing to give information after damaging another vehicle and failing to report an accident.
