Dear Editor:To Jerome Marks, Jerry Epstein, Judith King et. al.: Ms. Sue Gray is not anti-Semitic. She is clearly opposed to, and critical of, Israeli policy and actions concerning the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza. (Sure, Israel has withdrawn its settlers from Gaza, but it has left it a virtual prison, with limited egress to Israel or Egypt, limited use of the sea, and of the air. Freedom?)Sue is a stalwart for peace in the Middle East. She has been there. She visited Iraq. She has friends there. She demonstrated against invading Iraq. She is for peace.Sue is strongly opposed to and critical of Israel’s policy of ignoring U.N. resolutions by building settlements and grabbing property in the West Bank. This continuing policy of taking more and more Palestinian land and cutting up the remainder into bantustans that can never become a viable Palestinian state is a continuing aggravation and irritation to the Arab and Islamic peoples of the world.I assume Ms. Gray, and I hope many others, including many Israeli citizens, will continue criticizing these illegal and terrorist-like policies of Israel.Peter LarroweCarbondale
