Computers and kids

Dear Editor:

On Saturday, Sept. 15, five Little Buddies and their Big Buddies joined the high school technicians at Computers 4 Kids in Glenwood Springs to build their own computers. What an exciting day! Not only did these children get to learn about motherboards, RAM, hard drives, monitors and so much more, but they actually put it all together, and when they booted up their computers, the smiles were priceless!

All five computers were built successfully and taken home. The computers are equipped with word processing and Internet options so that these children can use the computers for school assignments. Thank you to Kirsten, Jerry, Raven, Tyler, Daniel and Stephany at C4K for making this activity so educational and memorable.
