Aspen Times Staff

About 7:30 a.m. Friday, someone broke into a building at the base of Tiehack at Buttermilk Ski Area.

The Aspen Police Department is asking anyone who may have been skinning or snowshoeing up Buttermilk ” or just at the ski area early ” for any information regarding suspicious activity.

Three items are missing: a modem, an antenna and a wireless transmitter belonging to the Aspen Skiing Co.

“It has no value to anybody except the Skico,” said police office Roderick O’Connor.

To report suspicious activity, call the police department at 920-5400.
