Come out for clay

Dear Editor:

Thank you so much for the wonderful article you did on our Artist Residency Program (“Molding Artists,” Aspen Times Weekly, Oct. 26). I would like to invite the community to come visit the clay center, the artists, and see what we are creating. We are also a part of First Fridays in Carbondale, and will be open the evening of Nov. 7, and have our Cup Auction on Friday evening, Dec. 5.

One slight correction, we have had an artist residency program since the beginning, 1997, but I added the nine-month residency program in 2006.

We are a nonprofit and would gladly accept donations from the community to help keep the residency program operating. Many thanks for all you support.

Lauren Kearns

Executive director, Carbondale Clay Center
