CMC = Counting More Cash

Dear Editor:

I was very surprised to read that Jim Markalunas apparently was unaware that CMC planned to keep its full property tax “windfall” in 2010. CMC has been telegraphing for months that they had no intention of using restraint during these stressful economic times, as is the case with most other taxing districts.

Clearly their board is not comprised of compassionate individuals who care for the current difficulties of their constituents and neighbors.

The members of the CMC board who were up for re-election last November should have been thrown out on their rears based on their telegraphed intentions to take unfair advantage of this very difficult situation.
