Club expansion has potential

Dear Editor:

The Aspen Club plan states that the Club will have to remain an open-to-the-public health club. The Aspen Club plan will allow the creation of countless holistic health events that expand the mind, body and spirit focus of Aspen and will help create a key, additional reason to come to Aspen that is not season or weather dependent.

I encourage the city to continue to ask the serious hard questions in order to make sure the Aspen Club plan is as beneficial to this precious community’s future as possible in this depressed economy.

As a year-round resident of the Club neighborhood, I think the plan is imperfect but full of great hope and rare concern for the neighborhood that no other developers have offered to the local residents in the past.

Come to Aspen for world-class skiing, shopping, hiking, music, food … and for a holistic health center? I do like the sound of that.
