Claude Milton Conner Jr. died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009. He was born in Aspen on Dec. 13, 1957, the first child of Claudine and Claude Conner. Claude cherished his Aspen heritage ” his daughters were fourth generation born in Aspen. Claude graduated from Aspen High School and from the University of Colorado with a degree in accounting. He met his wife Lynnette in Denver and they were married at St. Mary Catholic Church in Aspen on June 8, 1991.
Claude loved skiing with his family and golfing with his buddies. He was exceptionally proud of his daughters’ accomplishments. Claude was a local CPA in the valley and a member of the Aspen Elks Lodge for 29 years.
His wife, Lynnette, his daughter Delaney and Mackenzie, his father Claude, and his brothers Terry and Kevin survive him. Three aunts ” Kathy Glasmann, Margie Johnston, Geri DeFrancesco ” and two uncles ” Ken and Rudy Damjanovich ” also survive him. Claude was preceded in death by his mother, Claudine Damjanovich Conner, and his uncle, Warren Conner.
A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Aspen. Burial will be at Red Butte Cemetery. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Conner Girls’ Scholarship Fund in care of Alpine Bank or The V Foundation.
