Civil? Not in Aspen

Dear Editor:

Political civility is not Aspen’s forte. I’ve lived here since 1967 and polarity and controversy has been its natural state. In some people’s minds, civility only happens when the other side agrees with you. The smoother ride in government is an illusion, even in the best of times.

Mick Ireland has proven he can hold his own and make smart and courageous decisions under Aspen’s constant controversy. In earlier times, however, it did seem the humor was better. Mick has my vote, what about you?
