Civic engagement

Dear Editor:

On Nov. 4, 11 students from Aspen High School worked as student election judges in Pitkin County. These students joined more than million poll workers throughout the nation to ensure the fairness of the national election.

Thank you to Janice K. Vos Caudill of Pitkin County, who trained these students and other poll workers to perform their valuable service on election day. My gratitude to the following students for demonstrating their interest in and commitment to civic engagement: Ben Armstrong, Nick Byrne, Cole Green-Smith, Megan Karaus, Scott Lacy, Meg Lansburgh, Georgia Lipkin, Brittany Marrs, Brianna Morse, Whit Parker and Kirsten Peisach.
