City did great
On behalf of the city of Aspen, congratulations and thank you to all who made the X Games and Offspring concert a fantastic success.
To the Aspen Skiing Co., in particular David Perry and John Rigney, and ESPN for the 2002-04 Games, and for the agreement that brings the X Games to Aspen through 2007.
To the Aspen Skiing Co., Nancy Scheinkman, Telos Productions, and David Laughren, Avalanche Productions for their ideas, dedication and hard work that produced the downtown Offspring concert.
To Don Lemos, and the owner of the other Hyman Avenue parking lot, without whose cooperation the concert at the Hyman and Hunter location would not have been possible.
To our Aspen city staff, every department, who worked tirelessly, creatively and enthusiastically to provide what was necessary to make the concert a safe, exciting, and enjoyable experience. You met whatever challenges arose, and found solutions, often on a moment’s notice.
To Boogie’s and McStorlie’s for providing the outdoor food and beverage gardens for adult concert-goers to enjoy. If I have forgotten anyone, my apologies.
Please know the city’s appreciation goes to everyone who contributed to the high energy and exciting community event.
Outstanding, Aspen, you demonstrated once again that when we all work together, nowhere does it better.
