Joy Chambers 79, of Aspen and Florida died Nov. 1, 2010 after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in January 2010.

Joy was born on Jan. 5, 1931 to Vi and John Kinzel in Detroit, Mich.

Joy is survived by her husband Jack; a son, Frank; daughter-in-law, Jill of Breckenridge Colo.; four grandchildren, Jacklyn, Jonmichael, Kelsey and Forrest; and her sister, Beverly Gerard of Grand Blanc, Mich.

During her lifetime, Joy was an accomplished stained-glass artist. She was a devoted mother, an avid skier, tennis player and an excellent figure skater.

Memorial services will be arranged at a later date.
