Chinobay and Dance of Hope will take the TACAW stage on Tuesday
The Arts Campus at Willits (TACAW) will be filled with rhythm and energy on Tuesday evening as 12 performers from the nonprofit organization Dance of Hope take center stage.
“We are incredibly proud to host the talented performers from Dance of Hope at TACAW,” said Sarah Nininger, spokesperson for Action in Africa. “The performance is not only a treat for the community but also a testament to the transformative power of art and culture. It is an honor to partner with Dance of Hope, JAS, and TACAW to bring such talented performers to the Roaring Fork Valley.”
Chinobay, who founded Dance of Hope, is no stranger to the stage. His musical talents were on full display at the 2023 Jazz Aspen Snowmass June Experience, where he captivated audiences with his unique blend of African rhythms and jazz. His passion for the arts and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged youth in Uganda inspired the creation of the nonprofit.
Dance of Hope’s performances seamlessly blend traditional Ugandan dances with contemporary choreography. The performers, hailing from various regions of Uganda, will share their rich cultural heritage through dance, music, and storytelling, creating a show that transcends borders.
The event serves as a fundraiser for Action in Africa, an organization committed to empowering the youth of Uganda through education, healthcare, and community development programs. Jazz Aspen Snowmass, known for its ability to promote the arts, is co-hosting the event with Action in Africa. The collaboration between the three organizations and TACAW exemplifies the power of the arts to make a positive impact on communities both locally and globally.
