ASPEN ” Bluegrass band Cherryholmes, scheduled to play Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House on Friday, has canceled its performance.
The Nashville-based band, which has picked up four Grammy nominations and was named Entertainer of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association, reportedly cited concerns about weather and road travel in the Colorado mountains as the reason for the cancellation.
Aspen’s forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of snow on Friday; the National Weather Service is calling for more significant snowfall in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado.
Ticketholders should contact the box office at the Wheeler for a refund or exchange.
