Chapin for Eagle County assessor
Dear Editor: I am writing this letter regarding my friend Mark Chapin, who is running for the Eagle County assessor position. Mark is not only my friend but as a former employee of the assessor’s office, he was also my supervisor.I know firsthand how the office ran with Mark as the deputy assessor and I can assure the people of Eagle County that it was not only a structured and productive office but also a great place to go to work. Turnover in the office was minimal, and that is a huge benefit to the taxpaying members of this community. Mark knows that education and technological advancement in the office is essential for growth and integrity of the office and was always in support of his staff to better themselves through education and license upgrades.Mark not only has the credentials as a Colorado Certified General Appraiser, which are not required to be the assessor but very helpful, he also has 22 years of supervisory experience in both the La Plata County assessor’s office where he was the deputy assessor for nine years and in the Eagle County assessor’s office where he was the chief appraiser, then the deputy assessor for a total of 13 years.Mark is well-known and highly respected by other appraisers and assessor’s offices throughout the state of Colorado and would make a great assessor for the people of Eagle County. Vote for Mark Chapin for Eagle County assessor!Andria CollinsMoab, Utah
