Chapel benefit a huge success

Dear Editor:To all the wonderful people who helped make our annual Aspen Chapel benefit an enormous success, I want to say a most hearty thank-you. It really takes a village to create such a success.I am extremely grateful to our generous hosts, Lexie and Robert Potamkin, who went beyond the call of duty by treating all of the guests to a fabulous brunch, opening their palatial home and extraordinary gardens, and donating all of the drinks, food, tables, chairs and splendid service. Their loving spirit permeated the entire event. And their extreme benevolence allows the chapel to be really blessed. I am indebted to the board members and friends of the chapel who devoted many hours to working on this event. Cathy Markle and the Jazz All Stars lent a really festive atmosphere as they performed in the garden, while David Ratcliff shared his pianistic talent on the beautiful Steinway in the living room. I am particularly thrilled that the myriad silent auction items were so popular. Lastly, for the many benefactors and contributors who support this fund-raiser, I am deeply grateful. Their gifts help to make this event possible, as well as enabling the Aspen Chapel to continue its service to the community. Harriet Line Thompsonbenefit chairwomanAspen
