CDOT plans Highway 82 paving work near Basalt
Aspen, CO Colorado
BASALT – Traffic on Highway 82 will be reduced to a single lane over a bridge near Basalt on Monday and Tuesday, May 10-11, while the Colorado Department of Transportation undertakes a paving project.
On Monday, the westbound, or downvalley, lanes will be milled and paved over the bridge at mile marker 21. Flaggers will control traffic. The work will begin at 7 a.m. and be completed by 3 p.m., according to CDOT. The speed limit in the area will be reduced to 45 mph.
On Tuesday, the work will shift to the eastbound bridge lanes at mile marker 21. The work will begin at 9 a.m. and be completed by 5 p.m. Again, the speed limit will be 45 mph in the work zone.
A local kid got on the X Games Aspen podium on Sunday night, but it wasn’t the one most people expected. Even Jon Sallinen didn’t think he’d be taking home a medal.
