Cause for concern

One cannot help but wonder if there is an explanation of all the ski crashes on Colorado slopes recently. Could it be weather conditions, grooming, teaching by instructors – or just a combination causing such tragic results?

I don’t remember hearing much of this before, except the death of Michael Kennedy a few years ago due to his rank carelessness.

This was tragically brought to my mind in witnessing the grief of a father and mother in the emergency room at Aspen Valley Hospital. He said it was his child’s first run in a class with a helmet after just arriving on vacation. Such a horrible way to begin a vacation.

We should all thank God for our wonderful, caring hospital staff. Their skills and kindness cannot be equaled. I know – they just recently saved my foot from amputation.
