Carol Moore

Carol Moore, 88, was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Minden, Neb.; she died Nov. 9, 2005, at her home in Basalt.Carol was the daughter of Calvin S. and Winfred Pearl (Mooney) Rogers. She married Harley Moore on March 31, 1950, in Minden. Carol was dedicated to her family and friends. She loved to read, knit and cook, and she loved bird-watching. She was best-known for her french fries at the Charcoal Burger in Basalt from 1976-90. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter AR. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Gwen Moore. She is survived by her husband, Harley Moore; son John (Butch) Moore; daughter Jean Moore; brother John Rogers; and Jo Applegate and Joclyn Loyd. The family suggests memorials can be made to Roaring Fork Hospice, P.O. Box 1970, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601. A memorial service will take place at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel, 405 W. Seventh St., Glenwood Springs, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. Bob Larson will officiate. Farnum-Holt has been entrusted with the arrangements.
