Carbondale water talk features commissioner hopefuls

CARBONDALE – The Roaring Fork Watershed Collaborative and Roaring Fork Conservancy will host a Sept. 27 candidate forum on water for Eagle, Pitkin and Garfield county commissioner candidates.

The free event takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Calaway Room at the Third Street Center in Carbondale.

Aspen Public Radio’s Carolyne Heldman will moderate as candidates share their views on watershed and river issues and explain how, if elected, they will work to protect the Roaring Fork watershed.

Aspen History: ’60s Ski Fashion


In the 1960s The Red Onion as the Aspen Ski Club would host an annual ski fashion preview, which in addition to clothing also included live music and a strip auction.
