Carbondale skating season a blast

Dear Editor:

The Gus Darien Ice Arena is officially closed for the season. Thanks to everyone who made it another great skating year. I would like to thank our ice maintenance man, Steve Groom, for all his time and effort in keeping the ice skate-able for as long as possible.

Thanks to our volunteer Youth Ice Hockey coaches: Tai Jacober, Carter Schlumberger and Eric Brendlinger (he gets another round of thanks for his work on maintaining the ice as well). Thank you, warming hut staff, for renting skates, shoveling the snow and selling concessions: Crystal Beltz, Monique Rodriguez and Rebecca Wagner. If you have skates from the warming hut, please drop them by the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center. Thanks again!
