Carbondale man faces charges for selling fake IDs

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. ” A Carbondale man has been arrested after allegedly selling fake IDs to an undercover detective.

Eliuu Franco-Olmos, 30, sold fake immigration and Social Security cards to the detective for $150, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was arrested Saturday by the sheriff’s office, with help from the Avon and Carbondale police departments.

Franco-Olmos’ computer and software were seized as evidence, police said. Other fake IDs and fake Colorado temporary vehicle registration tags were also seized, according to police.

Franco-Olmos was charged with forgery, possession of forged documents and possession of a forgery device, all felonies.

He is being held in the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $2,500 bond. He has also been placed on an immigration hold.
