Candidate withdraws from Basalt Town Council race

Staff report

Basalt resident Cathy Miller withdrew Friday from the April 1 Basalt Town Council race, according to Town Clerk Pam Schilling.

Candidates had until 5 p.m. Friday to withdraw and not be on the ballot. Miller’s departure leaves five candidates competing for the three open spaces. The election is at-large, meaning the top three vote-getters earn seats.

The remaining candidates are Richard Duddy, Bernie Grauer, Mark Kittle, Jeff Orsulak and Gary Tennenbaum.
