Cancel games in support of Tibet

Dear Editor:

With all due respect, I strongly disapprove of holding the Olympics in China since the outbreak of violence against Tibet and Tibetans.

Yes, athletes will be disappointed, just as my father Bill Janss was when the Olympics were canceled because of World War II. Despite his deep disappointment he never wavered at the need to cancel the Olympics then, and I believe he would believe that it is the right thing to do now as well.
