Campaign thanks

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:I’d like to thank the many supporters who helped me win the primary election, and the voters who had confidence in me. I’m looking forward to the campaign for county commissioner in the November election that will, hopefully, be based on real issues.Pitkin County can only benefit from open discussion, not just by the candidates, but also by all the voters who wish to participate in the process. It is especially important in this crucial election year for people to register to vote in anticipation of November. The county clerk’s office is ready to help you, as I have found out. Their knowledge and expertise helps support a truly democratic process of which we can all be proud.I’d like to thank Bill Mohrman for running a gracious and issues-oriented primary campaign, and for his willingness to put himself in the public eye for his principles.Michael OwsleyWoody Creek
