Calls to Basalt Fire Department

BASALT – Following are the calls that the Basalt Fire Department responded to between April 9 and 14.

April 9 at 8:30 a.m.: Responded to a medical call in Basalt for a person in pain. The patient was transported to the hospital.

April 9 at 9:15 a.m.: Responded to a medical call for a person with an infection. The patient was transported to the hospital.



April 9 at 12:49 a.m.: Responded to a medical call in El Jebel. One person was transported to the hospital.

April 9 at 1:43 p.m.: Responded to a medical call in El Jebel for a person with mental problems. The patient was transported to the hospital.



April 9 at 1:58 p.m.: Responded to a citizen assist in Basalt for a person who had fallen.

April 10 at 7:19 a.m.: Responded to a water-flow alarm in Basalt. No emergency was found.

April 10 at 8:50 a.m.: Responded to a medical call in El Jebel for a reported seizure. The patient was transported to the hospital.

April 10 at 11:08 a.m.: Responded to a medical call in Basalt for a person with chest pain. The patient was transported to the hospital.

April 11 at 6:19 a.m.: Responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 82. A car had hit a deer. The driver was not injured.

April 11 at 3:04 p.m.: Responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in Basalt. No hazards were found.

April 11 at 5:13 p.m.: Responded to a medical call in Snowmass for a seizure. The patient was transported to the hospital.

April 11 at 5:30 p.m.: Responded to a medical call in Basalt for an accidental gunshot wound to the hand. The patient was transported to the hospital.

April 12 at 2:03 a.m.: Responded to a fire in Basalt. A wooden flower box attached to a Midland Avenue structure caught fire and was extinguished by a pesser-by. A fire crew made sure there was no extension of the fire to the building.

April 12: 10:08 a.m.: Responded to a medical call in Basalt for a person who was unresponsive. The patient was transported to the hospital.

April 12 at 8:17 p.m.: Responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 82 at the Snowmass intersection. One patient was transported to the hospital.

April 13 at 11:26 a.m.: Responded to a wildland fire on the side of Highway 82 in Basalt. Property owners extinguished the 20-by-20-foot fire. Fire crews made sure it was completely extinguished.

April 14 at 10:41 a.m.: Responded to Missouri Heights to investigate a person attempting to burn vegetation.

April 14 at 7:41 a.m.: Responded to a medical call on Frying Pan Road for a person complaining of chest pain. The patient was transported to the hospital.
