BASALT – The following are the fire and medical calls the Basalt Fire Department responded to between July 2 and Sunday.

July 2 at 3:18 p.m.: Responded to 22000 Highway 82 for a non-injury vehicle accident.

July 2 at 3:30 p.m.: Responded to Milburn Court for an illegal electrical connection. No hazards found.



July 2 at 4:07 p.m.: Responded to School Street for what was a false alarm.

July 3 at 11:03 a.m.: Responded to Blue Creek Overlook for a bicycle accident. One patient was transported to the hospital.




July 3 at 11:09 a.m.: Responded to Mule Deer Run for a water-line break. The hazard was mitigated.

July 3 at 11:13 a.m.: Responded to Promontory Lane for a person who had fallen. The patient was transported to the hospital.

July 3 at 4:51 p.m.: Responded to Highway 82 and Original Road for a motorcycle accident. One patient was transported to the hospital.

July 3 at 8:45 p.m.: Responded to East Valley Road for an odor of smoke. No hazards were found.

July 4 at 8:03 p.m.: Responded to Wren Court for a citizen assist.

July 5 at 1:03 p.m.: Responded to Wren Court for a citizen assist.

July 5 at 2:26 p.m.: Responded to Castle View Drive for an odor investigation. No hazards were found.

July 5 at 3:08 p.m.: Responded to a request from the Carbondale Fire Department to Clipper Road to investigate a fire alarm. No hazards were found.

July 5 at 3:37 p.m.: Responded to a mutual-aid request from the Carbondale Fire Department to Skipper Road for a wildland fire due to lightning. The fire was extinguished.

July 6 at 7:43 a.m.: Responded to Gateway Road for a possible stroke. The patient was transported to the hospital.

July 6 at 12:48 p.m.: Responded to Southside Drive for what was a false alarm.

July 6 at 2:13 p.m.: Received a standby request from the Carbondale Fire Department.

July 6 at 2:52 p.m.: Responded to Beaver Lane for a person complaining of chest pain. The patient was transported to the hospital.

July 6 at 7:14 p.m.: Responded to Cattle Creek Road for a smoke report. No hazards were found.

July 7 at 2:49 p.m.: Responded to Lower River Road for a bicycle accident. One patient was transported to the hospital.

July 7 at 6:02 p.m.: Responded to Arbor Park Drive for a carbon monoxide alarm. No hazards were found.

July 8 at 10:38 a.m.: Responded to Gillespie Drive for an intoxicated person. The person was released to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

July 8 at 4:24 p.m.: Responded to East Homestead Drive for an unknown medical problem. The person was evaluated and released.

July 8 at 9:55 p.m.: Responded to East Valley Road for a smoke report. No smoke was observed.

July 8 at 9:59 p.m.: Responded to East Homestead Drive for a person with a medical problem. The patient was transported to the hospital.

July 9 at 1:01 p.m.: Responded to Gold Rivers Court for a hazardous-materials situation. The hazard was mitigated.

July 9 at 4:44 p.m.: Responded to Mountain Shadow Way for an allergic reaction. The patient was transported to the hospital.

July 9 at 6:52 p.m.: Responded to Hooks Spur Lane for a one-person bicycle accident. The patient was transported to the hospital.

Wednesday at 8:29 p.m.: Responded to Eagle County Drive for a person feeling sick. The person was evaluated and released.

Thursday at 2:21 p.m.: Responded to Emma Road for a person in distress. The person was evaluated and released.

Thursday at 4:44 p.m.: Placed on standby for the Carbondale Fire Department.

Friday at 3:31 a.m.: Responded to East Sopris Creek Road for a non-injury vehicle accident.

Friday at 3:34 p.m.: Responded to Midland Avenue for a fuel spill. The hazard was mitigated.

Friday at 4:35 p.m.: Responded to 20000 Highway 82 for a non-injury vehicle accident.

Friday at 5:43 p.m.: Responded to 20000 Highway 82 for a vehicle accident with injuries. No treatment or transport was needed.

Saturday at 2:02 a.m.: Responded to the Two Rivers Road bus stop for an assault. The person refused treatment.

Saturday at 10:09 a.m.: Responded to East Valley Road for a person with breathing problems. The patient was transported to the hospital.

Sunday at 2:15 a.m.: Responded to El Jebel Road for a non-injury vehicle accident.

Sunday at 11:24 a.m.: Responded to 23422 Highway 82 for a one-vehicle accident with injuries. One patient was transported to the hospital.
