A California woman was arrested for felony theft on Christmas Day at a high-end Aspen boutique store.
The court issued a summons for the 42-year-old woman, accused of stealing between $2,000 to $5,000 from Moncler Aspen, to review the charges on Feb. 18. She is not currently being held in jail.
The Aspen Police Department declined to comment or provide case records about the arrest.
“The investigation remains ongoing, and release of these records while the investigation is ongoing may compromise the integrity of the investigation, jeopardize the ability to question witnesses or improperly influence potential witnesses, and may influence potential jurors,” the department wrote in an email to The Aspen Times.
A Moncler store manager declined to comment about the arrest.
