SNOWMASS VILLAGE Related WestPac, developer of Snowmass Base Village, broke ground last week at the new Little Nell Residences and the Arrival Center. The center will be the primary welcome facility for all guests and owners in Base Village. It also houses eight whole ownership condominium residences. The Little Nell Residences at Snowmass include 27 condominiums with interiors by designer David Easton as well as a fine dining restaurant, spa and other amenities. The pre-fab phase of the Viceroy Resort Residences in Snowmass is completed. Viceroy Snowmass is being built to achieve LEED silver certification. Interiors are being designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston International Architects. More than 65 percent of the available residences have been sold since sales launched in December. Related WestPac owns the three development sites in Snowmass, including Base Village, West Village, formerly known as the Snowmass Mall, and the Snowmass Center. With an estimated value exceeding $3 billion across the three sites, Related WestPacs overall Snowmass plan seeks to improve and expand the resorts amenities. Related WestPac has developed residential and mixed use developments in the Time Warner Center in New York City and CityPlace in West Palm Beach, Fla.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. has announced that Sumner Schachter, branch manager in the Glenwood Springs office, is celebrating his 25th anniversary with the firm. Schachter received his bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University and his doctorate from the University of Minnesota. After a career as an educator, he launched his investment career in 1983 and has since specialized in assisting Glenwood Springs and Roaring Fork Valley investors with their financial planning and investment needs. Active in the community, Schachter belongs to a number of civic organizations, including the Glenwood Springs Rotary. He is a past director of the Roaring Fork School District, was the chair of the Roaring School District finance committee, and a member of the districts accountability committee. Founded in 1890, Stifel, Nicolaus & Company is the principal subsidiary of Stifel Financial Corp. (NYSE: SF), a financial services holding company headquartered in St. Louis.

Kitchenstore2 will feature Vietri flatware, MammaRo Italian-designed home accessories, Luigi Bormioli Michelangelo glassware, and Chilewich linens, plus other lines. The Kitchenstore Basalt carries products from vendors including Viking, Le Creuset, Cuisinart, All Clad, Jura Capresso and others.
BASALT Vincent M. Simonetti of Wendy Lucas and Co. in Basalt has achieved the Graduate Realtor Institute designation. The designation sets the standards for real estate professionalism, knowledge and productivity, by providing sound training in the critical skills of the real estate business. Simonetti joined Wendy Lucas and Co. in 2007 and is licensed in both Ohio and Colorado. He now resides with his family in River Valley Ranch having moved from Columbus, Ohio in 2006.

There was some fun post-game banter about maybe making a run at the Europa League crown, or at the very least a championship here in Colorado, but coaches and veteran players alike made sure the Aspen soccer team had its eyes aimed at a more reasonable goal, like making the playoffs.
