Bush’s businessDear Editor:
Ted Rall’s last column in the Times (Nov. 29) points out some of the failures of Bush’s war in Afghanistan and Iraq. But to be fair, we must give credit where earned. Many people support Republicans because they are believed to be the party good for business, and law and order. This is true with Bush’s war. The business of raising poppies for heroin is booming again and what better training to be a New Orleans police officer than a little brutality against civilians who can’t afford good lawyers.
