Bush assigned to two House committees
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – The new member of the Colorado House of Representatives who represents Eagle County has been assigned by Democratic leadership to two top committees.
Rep.-elect Diane Mitsch Bush, D-Steamboat Springs, was assigned to the House Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Resources Committee as well as the Transportation and Energy Committee. The assignments were made by Mark Ferrandino, the speaker-designate.
Bush was elected to represent House District 26. The district includes the Roaring Fork Valley portion of Eagle County. Democrats will take majority control of the House when it convenes in January.
“Agriculture, transportation and energy are key issues in my district,” Bush said in a statement. “As a county commissioner, I dealt with these issues on a daily basis and am excited to take my expertise on transportation and rural perspective and dive in and get to work.”
