Burglar hits golf club

Aspen Times Staff Report

The Maroon Creek Club was burglarized over the weekend, but local authorities have not released any details about the incident.

“There was a burglary, but I can’t give you any more information than that because there’s a pending investigation,” said Scott Erwin, Maroon Creek Club general manager, yesterday.

Aspen Police confirmed an investigation is under way. Detective Glenn Schaffer is handling the case and may release some information today, said an officer.

Also still under investigation are two armed robberies that occurred in Aspen on consecutive nights late last week. No arrests have been made, police said.
