Bruell brings potential
I am writing to encourage Roaring Fork School District voters to look soon for their mail ballots and vote for school board candidate Debbie Bruell. She cares deeply about the quality of education in our schools. I have worked with Debbie volunteering at Crystal River Elementary School and know firsthand that she is a hardworking problem solver who will help ensure that our students receive the best education.
Bruell recognizes that our schools must reach out to the students, teachers, parents and community members. She believes our schools will become stronger if each school goes out into the community to meet parents where they are, to inform them and encourage them to be involved, and contribute their ideas.
The quality of our teachers is of utmost importance to Bruell. She believes the most important thing to having good schools is to have good teachers who feel supported and honored as well as hiring and attracting high-quality teachers.
In my experience working with Bruell, I’ve learned that she is a proactive thinker who can address the issues and demand accountability. She’s unafraid to explore new ideas and challenge what doesn’t work.
Debbie Bruell sees the potential in all our children and, as a school board member, will strive to see growth in higher standards of our students with personal support and encouragement.

It’s hard to fight City Hall and even harder to fight well-funded neighbors who don’t want any development near them, a local man has realized. So he settled for less than what he and his partner bought the property for.
