The Aspen Times
Full-time, year-round bus drivers with the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to join the Amalgamated Transit Union based in Washington, D.C.
The vote was 65 in favor and 22 against in a mail-ballot election, according to the Colorado Division of Labor, which oversaw the count Wednesday. There were 118 drivers eligible to vote, according to the labor division spokesman.
The next step for the drivers will be to organize for collective bargaining.
