Bravo, Buddies

Dear Editor:

I wanted to say congratulations on a job well done by staff members of the amazing Buddy Program.

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend last Thursday’s celebration dinner at the St. Regis. The place was rockin’! The appreciation dinner was delicious! The music had everyone dancing! Little Buddies, Big Buddies and their families were all having a really great time!

My wife, Sanya, and I had the opportunity to talk to a few little fellas and their Big Buddies. We sat next to a single mother of two kids, one of them a Little Buddy. The mother was very impressed by her son’s eagerness to enjoy time with his Big Buddy (a retired doctor in Snowmass who was out of town that night). This Little Buddy mentioned he really enjoys snowshoeing and hiking with him.

Buddy Program staff, keep up this fantastic mission, which creates positive relationships and provides a more solid upbringing for our valley’s youth!
