Book signing today in Aspen

ASPEN – Part-time Aspenite Judy Norris will appear for an event at 4 p.m. today at Explore Booksellers for her book “What Went Wrong?”

The book is a chronicle, in Norris’ words and paintings, of her late son Robby’s ordeal with mental illness. Norris, an artist who has worked with psychiatric patients to express their thoughts and feelings through art, wrote “What Went Wrong?” after discovering her son’s journals describing his deteriorating mental condition. Norris’ book explores her relationship with Robby, mental illness, the therapeutic use of art and why psychiatric help and support from the family were not enough to save Robby.

All proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to charity.
